JamesF,

You and your wife could not be at a better place.

It is important to be at a place like MDA that is on top of the latest information AND maintains their focus on the patient and family. More so with a high grade, less common variant.

It appears that your wife is being treated aggressively and without delay, which seems appropriate for her diagnosis.

Following the re-staging, you will likely receive a treatment recommendation vetted by the MDA tumor board. Again, a great group to have reviewing the options.

Absolutely the right track.

Best,
Jack

Welcome JamesF,

We are always sorry one has a need for this forum but, we journey together. I live in New Braunfels and can vouch for MD Anderson. They are my backup if another reason ever comes up again. I have had 4 or 5 friends/aquaintenances use MD and they are all happy with their treatment. With micropapillary tumors you are probably aware this is a rare type and very serious. You are in good hands. please post as needed as we all learn from each other.

Hello,

My wife dx with T2 Micropapillary cancer in September. She has completed 3 cycles of chemo. The first one was CisGem, the remaining two were Gem.Taxol. The fourth cycle will be this coming Friday and I believe will be CisGem now that has he kidney function has returned to normal.

After the fourth cycle has been completed they are going to restage to determine plan from there.

We are located in Houston and she is being treated at M.D. Anderson.

All of this sound like we are on the right track?

Thanks in advance.
