well, looks like he is out of the woods, had a long talk with the doc today.

But he has a long ways to go to being ready to come home...

He walked today - in much pain mostly while getting out of and into bed. Didn't get far but he did walk, and then sat in a chair for a couple hours.

I think we are on the right track - finally!

We still have the issue of a lot of fluid in the lungs and hence a danger of pneumonia if he doesn't get on his feet asap.

So the pressure is on, but we both want to go home badly and George is willing to go to any length to get this show on the road. And that's what matters most - he is motivated!

His new scar (huge!!!) is healing rapidly.

I am tired as can be - who thought that sitting in a chair next to a bed for a couple of weeks can take that much out of you. I am just emotionally (what a roller coaster!) and physically exhausted.

I'm sure relieved to see your upbeat post. I hope the stress on you and George will be less as he gets his digestive tract settled in and performing normal.
