Hello again I had a cithoscopy a week ago, everything was clean I will receive BCG in July so each 6months. I am very happy it is like a honeymoon I am in peace now . But I know that I must be alert but just for this month ( may 20th my birthday) I want to enjoy my little victory. We have to walk in ours own paths. Greetings and my best wishes for ours battles.

That's good to know that the dosage can be cut down. Just completing my second round of 3 week maintenance, I was sort of worried since I didn't have as much pain and blood as before, something wasn't working? But, my cysto came out clear. I still loaded up with fluids afterwards even though I knew it wouldn't be a pleasant experience heading to the bathroom all the time! Good luck to all, Jay

Your side effects show that the BCG is working....kicking up that immune system! If the side effects become too much, remember that the dose of BCG can be significantly reduced. Even 1/10 the original dose has been shown to be effective. The more treatments you have, the more sensitive your bladder lining becomes, and the more intense the side effects. By the time I finished, I was on 1/3 the original dose. Talk to your urologist about this!

Sorry to hear your in pain, have you spoken to your urologist? also did they take a urine sample from you when you went to get your BCG? That way they can rule out a possible infection, I'm no pro but I would definitely check with your Doctor and let them know your symptoms! I hope you feel better soon!!!

1st turbt Oct 3 2015, 2nd turbt Nov 13 bladder,
Completed 6 BCG initial treatments 01/11/16 02/09/16 No Cancer!
08/09/16 Cyto shows red spots on bladder, TURBT prostate scheduled
09/12/16 Cancer is back Ta prostate ,T1 high grade bladder papillary uthelial.
Cancer has invaded muscle getting RC.

Hello , I finished today my third BCG of the second round of three. It is very painful, I couldnt wait the two hours after the BCG. I hope BCG will work the same. Right now i go to the bathroom each 15 minutes, i bleeded a Little, and i have urgency and burning pee. II am using pirydum . vesicare and ibuprofen.
I will follow Jays advice chicken soup !.I will continue posting, I will have an interesting night
