Thanks Anita for your response , I wanna ask you when Doug saw a specialist for infectious disease what did he find and what did he gave him? cause my Uro wanna me wait a little as he said it takes time to recover specially in joint swelling, and I do feel very little improvement every day. what do you think? I just wanna know did he found something more serious?

Suzi you are getting a very serious reaction to BCG and need to get to an infectious disease specialist NOW. You cannot ever take this again. You are going to have to be on anti TB drugs for quite some time
Ocular symptoms (including uveitis, conjunctivitis, iritis, keratitis, granulomatous choreoretinitis) alone, or in combination with joint symptoms (arthritis or arthralgia), urinary symptoms and/or skin rash, have been reported following administration of intravesical BCG. The risk appears to be elevated among patients who are positive for HLA-B27. (13)

Skin rash, arthralgia and migratory arthritis may be allergic reactions.

Serious infectious complications of intravesical BCG have been reported. The most serious infectious complication of BCG is disseminated sepsis associated with death. In addition, BCG infections have been reported in eye, lung, liver, bone, bone marrow, kidney, regional lymph nodes, peritoneum and prostate in patients who have received intravesical BCG. Some male genitourinary tract infections (orchitis/epididymitis) have been refractory to multiple drug antimycobacterial therapy and required orchiectomy.

Treatment ofAdverse Reactions
If a patient develops persistent fever or experiences an acute febrile illness consistent with BCG infection, BCG instillations should be permanently discontinued, the patient immediately evaluated and treated for BCG infection and an infectious disease consultation sought. (See WARNINGS and PRECAUTIONS.) Treatment with two or more antimycobacterial agents should be initiated promptly while diagnostic evaluation, including cultures, is conducted. Negative cultures do not necessarily rule out infection. TheraCys is sensitive to the most commonly used antimycobacterial agents (isoniazid, rifampin and ethambutol). TheraCys is not sensitive to pyrazinamide. (14)

I received 6 BCG from urologist and then switched and had 6 Chemo from oncologist, was always checked for infection, had one. You sound like you are having more reactions than I did but I had some to be sure. After one of my scopings I got C-dif infection which landed me in hospital. Infections even under the best of conditions do happen but I have got through them all --- certainly getting second opinions never hurt --- I had some bouts with depression and then anxiety so at times is very helpful to let your doctors and nurses know how you are feeling emotionally for the trip to wellness from cancer does at times play heck with emotions. I hope they get a handle on infections but most of all do not get isolated keep communicating and this website can help --- hang in there -- Herb †

Age 72 had radical 9/11/10 have conduit everything is fine, grateful to be a cancer survivor. Lost Dad and Brother to Cancer both in their 50's.

Suzi,
When Doug ran a fever from the BCG, his urologist had him see an infectious disease doctor. You might want to see one of those.
