Well, on Jan. 30 I had it all out (radical cystectomy & prostatectomy plus neobladder construction) at Hartford Hospital by Dr. A.M. Meraney (formerly of Sloan Kettering and the Cleveland Clinic) and everything seems to have gone very well. Now i've had the Foley out and am doing my daily maintenance (cathing) but I have questions. It seems that when I "strain and void," as instructed, plenty of urine comes out, then when I cath, little or nothing is left to come out. Is this a problem? Also, looking ahead, I wonder how I can possibly do at least one cathing at work with a reasonable degree of sanitation; if I need to cath, say, four times a day, at least one would have to be at work. Has anyone dealt with this?
