Thanks Dean!

I agree that it is a LOT about attitude.

I believe the line is:

It's attitude, not aptitude, that determines your final altitude! :)

Let us know as soon as you get your report back. Good Luck!

God Bless you Mike. That is outstanding news. I am new to BC (still not fully diagnosed yet) but I get comfort from you brave people that have fought this disease head on. Its means alot to the rest of us that you share your stories and experience. My TURB is on Tuesday, I honestly cant wait to get the path back to see just what the heck I am dealing with.

In anything, I think it really comes down to attitude and a plan of attack that is supported by really experienced and knowledgeable docs.

I sometimes reflect just how blessed I am that I can even get medical care like this...puts alot of things into perspective.

But I was really happy to read you are getting through this Neobladder thing really well...

Take care

Dean

Thought it might be a good time to follow up this thread to close the loop.
As mentioned, I did get the neobladder.
I've stretched it to about 400ml which my doc says is perfect.
Can completely drain it on with no problem and have had complete daytime continence for quite a while now.

I got so comfortable with condom catheters at night that I have been on a long break from even worrying about night time continence. I suppose I will get around to it, but its just so nice to sleep through the night.

I must say that I am a very happy neobladder customer!

Mike,
Sorry I didn't reply. I was in the hospital getting my neobladder. I decided it was the best bet for me. It was the plan going in. 2nd option was pouch and third option the stoma. Can't say much one way or the other at this point since it is too soon. Feeling good now but I had complications (ileus knocked me out for a week). In any case I'm home now and feeling good. Occasional tylenol is all I'm taking even though they gave me some really good stuff.

Have to go to my local doc because the intern who removed my staples apparently missed one. Besides all that it is nice to be cancer free! :)
