Julie,

Sounds like you have a big full plate and it is overflowing.

When Bob came home from the hospital he was still nauseous and felt full. He is finally doing some better and actually eating more.

Prayers and love are with you both during this difficult time.

Hi Julie,

Sounds like both you and your husband are facing plenty every day still. I sure hope you guys catch a break soon.

As far as the nausea - I get that too. It started in May and has become markedly worse in the last few weeks for me. I do not know if it is the narcotics or something else. Even after a very small ammount of food I feel overfull and it really gets painful at times. I have been hoping it is the pain meds but I worry it is the problem in my liver. On Friday I see one of my drs and hope we can get an ultrasound to check things.

I think of you guys often and hope some of these issues resolve soon,
God bless, Holly

PS Good luck on your tests results too :)

Dick is more slowed down than ever. He seems very depressed to me along with the poor appetite from the pain and medication. The Dr. today could see it and prescribed an anti-depressant. She also said it might help with the pain and appetite also. Even after the transfusion last Tuesday his red count and white count is still quite low so he will be getting another transfusion Thursday. The only day this week that there was no medical appointment scheduled.

I go in to see my Primary care doctor tomorrow for blood test results. I am on the edge of diabetes and my cholesterol has been just over the recommended levels. So I get monitored twice a year.

Wednesday Dick sees the pain specialist. Friday he get the physical for the stent replacement next Monday as well as an appointment with the Radiation Oncologist. At least they are in the same building.

Before we got to the Cancer Center today I asked him if he wanted to exercise his legs by using the walker or rest with the wheel chair. He decided to use the walker. His top speed was snail like but he was walking. I also asked him to use his legs more around the house by going to get ice water for himself instead of asking me to do it.

We did go over to friends Sunday for movies and dinner. We had a good time watching the Golden Compass. Then we had barbecued ribs. He managed to eat one and a bite of cheesy broccoli rice and that was all and then Dick was ready to go home. This was in lieu of going out to the movies so Dick wouldn't be around crowds due to his depressed immune system. Then we spent 3 hours at the Cancer Center among all the patients there because the lab was short a nurse to do port draws.

I wonder what is giving him the full feeling all the time. He says he feels nauseous most of the time. Could that be the narcotic?
