Melissa,
My husband said the hardest part of the first chemo is knowing that poison is going through your body, and it is the first realization that "I have Cancer, and I may die from it"...another aspect is seeing others also receiving chemo who look pretty bad...they understand that may be them at some point...It is HARD!!!Especially when you are metastatic...See if his Dr will Rx an anti-anxiety pill such as Xanax that he can take before he leaves the house for his next treatment...it will aleviate some of the anxiety...
Caregiver for my Wonderful Husband Angelo, who has Metastatic Bladder Cancer.
