Oh heck no!!! You are in for a pleasant surprise.
Well...that is if you call any of this stuff pleasant.
The normal from procedure for the cystoscopy (in-office) is to put some lidocaine numbing gel in the penis. Then wait 10 minutes to let it do the job. Then they use the cystoscope. The part that ranges from "ouch" to "HOLY CRAP I LEVITATED OFF THE TABLE AND HIT MY FACE ON THE CEILING" is when the scope goes through the prostatic sphincter. Usually, after that it is just weird feeling.
Then they give you an antibiotic and send you on your way and there is no problem with urination or any problems. If you are concerned there might be, ask for some pyridium (phenazopyridine). It turns your urine bright orange but it is a bladder pain reliever. If you then have any problem, take as directed. You can even get them over the counter.
It is a good thing to be uptight about having things inserted in your penis. Probably even Darwinian.
