I don't want to be indelicate . . . too late. Sailorman went to the doctor after his radical cysectomy and neobladder and got his lower tube out, the one from the penis. The upper tube, through a hole under his bellybutton, is still in as a safety valve and, as the doctor said, "now the hard part begins." He has to learn how to use this reconstructed organ to force urine out, through the urethra. So far he hasn't had much luck.
So how do you train your system to use a neobladder? Are there any exercises, tricks? Any hints? How long does it take for your sphincter to regain control? So far his doesn't want to open, probably on strike from having the catheter in for a month. Does anyone have any advice or experiences to tell us?
Oh, and my book is being advertised . . .
