Albert, the fluorescent cytology can be more sensitive than some other tests, but does take longer to get results, and it is usually sent out rather than developed at the local site. It can give more "false positives" than some other tests.
I just got a hint, from your posting, that you are not delighted with the care you seem to be getting

. Since you are in the LA area, you are near one of the top bladder cancer centers in the country....USC/Norris. If you feel that you need a second opinion or someone else to look at this situation, they would be the obvious choice. BTW, a second opinion at a place that does a LOT of bladder cancer treatment is always a good idea.
