I'm a 54 year old female who about 10 years ago had a 5 cm bladder tumor (TCC). Had TURB. I believe a Stage I, Grade 2. I have had 3 recurrences and cystoscopies every 4-6 months until I lost my health insurance. I've had to wait 3 years for Medicare to go into effect so I can finally get a cystoscopy, scheduled for a next week. Yesterday I started having pain, not while urinating but at the very end of urination. The only time I have had this same type if pain is post TURB after the tumor was removed and I assumed it was because urine in the bladder was a "cushion" for the areas resected.
My question is: When you have a bladder infection, do you have the pain not on urination, but at the very end of urination that lasts about 15 seconds? I'm suspecting this is a recurrence but don't have the experience with bladder infections to differentiate the symptoms.
