My father was admitted to the hospital about 13 days ago. He needed a transfusion and his white count is low. He cannot walk or even stand and has been in a bed for a while now. They transferred him to a rehab. in hopes of regaining some of his strength. I just don't see how that is possible at this point. When he is on pain meds. he is basically delerious, but when he isn't on such a strong dosage he is in pain. There is no happy medium. I feel terrible for my mother there is really nothing anyone can do to help her. He is depressed and crying and just wants to come home. I think she is starting to consider bringing him home with 24 nursing care. It just doesn't seem like he is bouncing back this time. This is such a bittersweet time for us right now. I am due in less than 6 weeks and it is so hard to be happy at a time like this.
