DOUBT ON THE NATURE OF TISSUES EXPELLED IN URINE AFTER THE BCG

7 months 1 week ago #57314 by Alan

Those cells, tissue and sometimes blood are usually sloughing off the lining of the bladder and yes, possible cancer cells. This is mostly normal unless it is really heavy...and whatever that is I have no idea (heavy that is). This is based upon my URO and other peoples comments.

DX 5/6/2008 TAG3 papillary tumor .5 CM in size. 2 TURBS followed by 6 instillations of BCG weekly with a second round of 6 after a 6 week wait.

I have an atrocious doubt about the nature of those fluctuating tissues that I found during the bcg treatment and that I continue to find even a week after the 6th. Given that no one knows, not even the doctors, what is the real mechanism of action of the drug, as well as we do not know exactly what the appropriate dose may be, given that it seems even if reduced to a third or even a tenth continue equally to work, I wonder if those tissues that float in the urine consist only of cancer cells or even healthy cells. I hope they concern both because if they only concern the first I'm starting to worry in the sense that the 6 treatments were not enough for me considering that the tissues keep coming out. Someone has had information from some doctor about it. It is probably a trivial question and I believe that perhaps the drug will act on the whole bladder, but I ask if there is someone who knows more about it and who can kindly give confirmation so as to resolve the doubt. Thanks Regards Antonio.
