I have had my ostomy for 1 year and 9 months and during that time experienced many problems with leakage. I tried all different appliances and the most reliable was a convatec convex two piece but then even that gave me problems so I tried Cymed. It is microskin and conforms to your body shape like nothing else. You can go to cymed-ostomy.com and read about it. It takes a few times to apply it properly but once you get right it's very easy to apply. I do not use any powder, cream or anything.

My husband is 4 months post surgery, for the removal of the bladder and prostrate{ bladder cancer}. He has tried several manufacturers, who make ostomy bags, and yet he still tends to have leakages from the bag. Any suggestions, solutions, ideas why this could be happening? He now wears a hernia belt around the bag.
