I now have a neobladder. the surgery went well but I had an ileus (intestinal shudown) that knocked me out royally for a week and kept me in the hospital that much longer as well. It finally cleared without additional surgery and I am now back at home. The biggest challenge for me so far has been getting my bowels to settle down. Still walking a bit hunched over but glad for lack of pain. Pretty much just tylenol a few times a day keeps me fine.
Got the pathology reports back and it appears that the biopsy had gotten all of the invasive part of the cancer in the bladder. there was additional CIS in the bladder, but ureters and urethra and prostate all clear. All 41 lymph nodes were clear!!!! So, no chemo.
