Should I have a Procrit shot

I just got back from getting my neupegyn shot and they wanted to give me a Procrit shot. Apparently my Hemoglobin is at 9.3 and they want to give me Procrit. This worries me after all that I have read about Procrit lately. They say they will still give me chemo next week whether I have the shot or not, but my chances of needing a blood transfusion go up.

Could use some opinions here.
