BTW I feel blessed, mine was diagnosed spot on after the second TURBT and treated the way it was.

5.24.10 Final staging T2G3 7.28.10 Started Gemcitabine, Cisplatin neoadjunctive chemotherapy
11.2.10 RC with NEO 11.18.11 First year CT shows possible liver tumor
12.8.11 Confirmation of TCC BC mets to the liver 6.27.12 Final round of Dose Dense MVAC
7.26.12 Final scans showed no tumor or no...

Hi Pat,
I finally got to read the article and its sad. seems like our cancer is the "bastard child" in the cancer world. Bad enough it gets understaged so much as in the article, but then there's the doctors that miss it and go off in a different direction and try to treat it as a bladder infection or prostate issue. All that lost valuable time that would have allowed for a sucessful outcome. And then the issues with very little funding for research! It seems like I read somewhere that invasive BC is one of the more expensive cancers to treat.

Happy to say that was one thing they got right with me.
When I had my cystectomy, my stage was confirmed T2.

Put's me in the OTHER 50%. Seems I'm always in the bad percentages so I'll take what I can get. :)

Really scary to contemplate. :(

Small TA Grade 1, May-06; recur (2 tiny), same, June-08; TURBTs both times. BCG begun July-08, dosage to 1/3rd May-10, completed treatment December-11. All clear since 2008.
