Interesting. Looks like a potential 2nd line of defense if BCG doesn't work. I can't find anything on the efficacy of this treatment but from what I did find it seems they only recently started trying this on humans. Found some studies on mice from 2005.
Seems they are only looking at BCG refractory cases right now (those where BCG doesn't work) but it would be interesting to see how good this is when compared to BCG. From what I can find, it seems to have less complications than BCG but it may well be way to soon to come to that conclusion (although it seems promising based on the doses they used in this study not reaching a toxicity level).
Certainly sounds like a treatment to keep an eye on.
