Seems like the direction should be to change the surgical standards to suggest to surgeons that they minimize urethral resection as much as possible and additionally consider utilizing methods of urethral reconstruction (such as grafts from either genital and extragenital skin flaps, and peritoneal grafts or an acellular tubular matrix seeded with epidermal cells) when higher levels of urethral resection are deemed to be required.

But hey, that's just me. :)

1/2014 ct scan results....distant mets
2/2014 ct result...spread to liver, kidneys, and lymph...

small study but at least someone is trying to figure it out..seems the amount of resection of the urethra may be the culprit
