Hi,everybody. Here is some more information about Hexvix or Cysview (US name). Hexvix has been used in Europe since 2006 and is used in 21 countries. The procedure was recommended by an European panel earlier this year to make more European countries use Hexvix as a standard procedure.

Today there was a message that an article were published in the Journal of Urology, and you can read more about the results if you follow the link. The conclusion is "Hexvix improves the detection of bladder cancer and reduces the rate of early tumour recurrence"

It should`t be long before GE and Karl Storz launch Cysview/Hexvix in US.

ONLY if i get a badge Cynthia!
George my stoma's name is HAl.....and it was a well deserved name as he seemed to be dancing a beat to his own music for a while...took me a while to make him understand i was the boss...the ENFORCER. He now behaves pretty well unless i put clean sheets on the bed...loves to play tricks on me...he sometimes grabs hold of my catheter and just dares me to get it out..i'm patient..i wait til he lets go...i guess i have to let him have a little fun at my expense. All in all we're fabulous friends!!
