Interesting articles. The one Pat posted stated that the daily maximum should be 400 micrograms. I looked at my wife's multivitamin contents it has 200 microg of selenium and the dosage it 2 per day. If she should already be getting enough in a normal diet, I wonder if it is now a little too much.
Also of interest is that selenium deficiency is notable in China because the soil is selenium deficient. Not the case in North America. Have you noticed that a lot of food in the grocery stores these days is from China or other countries? I was surprised when I started looking at those tiny stickers on fruits and veggies and saw where they were from.
