Finally it has approval here. But now i think i understand why the hesitancy at one of the last Uro conferences on using it.....and not just because of the requirement to be injected with the dye l hr. prior to cystoscopy.
"Cysview is an optical imaging agent indicated for use in the cystoscopic detection of non-muscle-invasive papillary cancer of the bladder among patients suspected or known to have lesion(s) on the basis of a prior cystoscopy"
Thinking back on my local uro ..he didn't know invasive from non-invasive with white light but he definately thought it was non invasive due to its size.....but it was very invasive...
So..what happens if you use this dye on an invasive tumor?
Just thinking out loud........Pat
