Do US Uro\'s Practice Evidence Based Medicine?

So true! I asked my uro about mitomycin after reading about a single instillation being used immediately after TURBT, and he said he did not do that, and used it only for those who didn't tolerate BCG. (I'd already had the TURBT a while previously, so it was just an academic question on my part.) If I need another TURBT, maybe I should get a little pushy about it.

Small TA Grade 1, May-06; recur (2 tiny), same, June-08; TURBTs both times. BCG begun July-08, dosage to 1/3rd May-10, completed treatment December-11. All clear since 2008.
