Diagnosed in May with non invasive urethera cancer. I chose to go to Switzerland for immune boosting therapy. Can BCG treatment add to the fight of this cancer?

BCG treatment is most effective in high grade, non-invasive bladder cancer. It is also used when low grade, non-invasive bladder cancer returns multiple times.

I am not familiar with any of the so-called "immune boosting" therapy in Switzerland or Germany having any effect on bladder cancer.

Baba,

You need a urological consult to sort out what has been done and how to proceed. Do not delay in seeking professional assistance with your situation. Seek help sooner rather than later.

I'm curious if you have done any diet changes and taking any supplements. Good luck and thank you. I have multiple Dr's and seeking out another. My Dr's in Switzerland continue to mention prostrate and then say and bladder. I have my concerns. Thank you both.

Baba, I was first diagnosed with non-invasive papillary and CIS bladder cancer over 8 years ago. I had two TURBs and then BCG and maintenance BCG for a period of about 2 years. Have now been cancer-free for over 8 years.

Of course once should eat in a healthy manner no matter what. However, the cancer that we have has been lurking for many years before it becomes obvious. Any effect on the cancer that a "supplement" or "diet" might have would have been needed 10, 20, or 30 years ago. The very best that we can do now is to get the very best medical attention that we can, using tried and trusted treatments.
