I've been wondering about Alice too.

I hope Alice is okay, also. Alice, you out there? Let us hear from you.

PS,

I don't think that we have heard from Alice in a while. I hope she is doing okay....

Wow, Gordon,

That poem was really beautiful and not touchie feelie at all. It is just true, and evoking such beautiful images.

Thanks a lot for sharing this poem, and it is so good to hear from you.

Rosemary - Alice - Wendy - et al,

I ran across this William Stafford poem that I thought applied to us as Bladder Cancer Surviors/Fighters. Thought you might enjoy/appreciate it. My "enjoy those moments in between philosphy" obviously is not a new view on life. :)

Hope I'm not being too liberal and "touchie feelie" for you all. ;D ;D lol

A good friend of mine just last week got the "bladder cancer news". I referred him to the home page and forum - and did so with confidence that he would get much better advice than I could give. Thank you all for your time and efforts on our behalf.

Gordon

You Reading This, Be Ready

Starting here, what do you want to remember?
How sunlight creeps along a shining floor?
What scent of old wood hovers, what softened
sound from outside fills the air?

Will you ever bring a better gift for the world
than the breathing respect that you carry
wherever you go right now? Are you waiting
for time to show you some better thoughts?

When you turn around, starting here, lift this
new glimpse that you found: carry into evening
all that you want from this day. This interval you spent
reading or hearing this, keep it for life—

What can anyone give you greater than now,
starting here, right in this room, when you turn around?
