OK..so don\'t drink your milk!

How times are changing! My first job was in the analytical laboratory of a milk processing plant- the only contaminant we checked for then was antibiotics - I am sure that the main scource of contamination nowadays is from the processed feed the cattle are given- not enough controls on what goes into it.We stopped drinking or eating dairy products 6 years ago, and use soya milk instead, but even that has many pros and cons.

I drink Horizon Organic milk, either 1% or 0%. I would love to know how it would fair on those tests. While they advertise that their cows are not given antibiotics or hormones, it seems that many of the named contaminants have found their way into our water supplies, thus water we drink as well as the animals. Who knows what's actually in their feed!

It seems that there is very little we can do to be "contaminant free" in today's world. I fear this will start to show up in a few years with many people having various cancers and other toxin-related illnesses in alarming numbers.

I hate to be the "sky is falling" person, but it's hard to be optimistic that this will turn around.
