13 below here!!! to cold to do anything. Even the trees are shivering!!!!!

The Sacramento Valley forms a mild pocket insulating us from the hard winter storms from up Oregon way. We throw a few warm coats in the trunk of the car and drive up the mountain 30 or 40 minuets to play in the snow then return to Sacramento for our 50 or 60-degree days. It’s nice to have snow 30 minuets away after being raised in dieseldocs part of Missouri. I insulate my bougainvillea plants by throwing lawn clippings around them each fall. Our last official frost hazard date is Feb 28th.

Sorry guys. My magnolia and cherry trees are both in bloom! This is the most beautiful time of the year in northern California (can also be the warmest). Everything is so lush!

Sara we can't handle all that rain, our rivers and streams get real stupid.

12 inches of snow on top of 3 inches of ice and sleet!! It is real interesting around hear to say the least. My 4 wheel drive truck is having trouble getting around.
