Well the dnr came last week shot some happy juice into momma bears butt in her den in our quarry and she just looked at them . Finally the guy crawled partway in the den to look for babies , (with momma bear still watching him) and couldn't find the babies we heard in Jan.
They could have drowned and she might have ate them. Ahhhh mamma love. But they might still be hidden in there somewhere.
I was in my blind the night before the dnr came watching the den entrance when momma came out , she looked very sleepy, gathered up alittle grass and went back in. You know what really makes your stomach turn inside out... when you relize here you are watching a momma bear and you forgot your bear spray ! whewww!! I won't make that mistake again !
So the dnr put a trail camera at the entance to try and get some pictures and I will continue to sit in my blind and try to get video of some baby bears if she still has some. So goes the bear story. Rocky
