the thing is Vi.. bladder cancer is a rare bird as far as urologists are concerned. Prostate cancer is the cash cow. Having to travel an hour away is NOTHING. These specialists are far and few between. And its your life. Make the appointment at the U of Colorado
www.uccc.info/conditions/cancer/urologic-cancer/medical-team/index.aspx
This is the only NCI designated hospital in Colorado.
Request Shandra Wilson

Many of us travel quite a distance to seek out the best.

Vi,

It IS in your "area of the country".
UCH is less than 60 miles from the center of Colorado Springs.

I am going to see how things go on Tuesday. I have already talked to my husband about doing a second opinion. The problem is finding someone in Colorado Springs rather than Denver. Have you any knowledge about people in this area of the country? Mike suggested someone, but that was in Denver.

yes that is great news....a second reading by a great pathologist would have probably told you the same thing..its probably an old scar. I have the same thing.
But my main concern Vi is that you have not seeked out a second opinion on your initial tumor which was burned off in the doctors office who has had little experience with bladder cancer. You have no pathology on it.
Do you often play with fire?

Vi,

Glad to be back.

Happy to help. The prediction from my personal crystal ball is that you will be told that they got it all the first time with the fulgration and since it was low grade and requires only watchful waiting at this point. You will then come in for a cysto periodically just to keep tabs.

No recurrence of even so much as a low grade tumor for at least the next two years. Sorry I can't predict out further but I got my crystal ball at a discount place so it doesn't see all that far ahead.

Now, write down this prediction, and write down the date on your calendar so in two years you can double check me.
