That cake sounds delicious, I can almost smell it cooking!
Here·s my recipe for cooks who cheat.
Its so easy, my kids used to do it.
EASY PEASY CHOCOLATE CAKE
175g (6oz) soft margarine
175g (6oz) caster sugar
40g (11/2 oz)cocoa powder
150g (5oz) self raising flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
10 drops vanilla essence
3 tablespoons milk
3 eggs
Icing sugar to decorate
1. Put everything except icing sugar in a large bowl,Beat until mixture is smooth. Don·t overbeat.
2.Spoon mixture into greased bottomlined 18cm (7 inch) round, 9cm (3 and a half inch) deep microwaveable container. Stand container on an upturned plate, cook for 3 mins on Full
3.Turn container round and cook for 3 mins more
4. Turn again and cook for 2and a half mins.
5. Let cake stand for 5 mins. then carefully turn out.
6. When completely cool turn upside down and dust with icing sugar.
I·m sure it no way would compete with yours, but its a real quick one to throw together if you have friends coming round at short notice !
