I can't thank you enough for letting me know about Dr. Steinberg!
I was lucky enough to see him on Tuesday.

I will be operated on December 10th.

I have some questions for you if you don't mind.

1. What is the University Hospital like?
2. Are the beds comfortable
3. Is the food tolerable?
4. Is there a hotel close by?
I will be staying the night before surgery.
5. What do you recommend I bring?
6. What do you remember when waking up?
7. Did you have a lot of tubes in you?
8. What did you do for your bowels?

I will be having the Ileal Conduit.

I prefer to have the most negative of information and then be able to work back from that.

I do hope you are progressing well.

I did tell Dr. Steinberg how I got there.

What is the best source for replacing my bladder?
I am a 63 year old active female.

Five years ago lost the right kidney and urether... cancer in urether. This was suppose to be a "one in a million".

Four years ago tripped on the sidewalk and broke my Acetabula (part of the pelvis that holds the hip socket)in four places... again a "one in a million"

While I am still alive and moving on, I would be greatful to any experiences you might have.

I do realize that we must rely on those that have gone before us and you can't change once the choice has been implemented.
