scared and need support

2 years 2 months ago #52054 by Anarae214
Kendra, this is a journey back to wholeness that will test your resolve, but mostly your sanity.
Keep a journal . Then you can ask questions from your health team, and ask specific questions.
If you can, or if it is offered to you get a therapist who specializes in oncology patients, so helpful!
They help you through the feelings and ask the right questions.

If you can think of anything you are curious about come here please.

Courage is not having the strength to go on. It is going on when you don't have the strength.

Welcome to our little group.
Sorry to have you here.
Glad to have you here.
Keep those close to you in the loop. They need to know everything.
Now is the time to gather your team together. They want to help you get through this.
Sharing your feelings is a great stress reliever.

And take that deep breath. If your Dr is good, follow their orders and be proactive in your care.

Good luck
George

Thank you, im trying to stay calm. But its just so hard. Its the unknown thats driving me crazy. My family are a good support and they keep telling me not to worry because we don't know yet. But I keep thinking the worse when it may not be. The process and the unknown. Please keep me in your prayers and ill do the same for you. Take care :-)

Kendra,
I'm 47 and an R.N. I was just dx myself about 3 1/2 weeks ago.....like you I felt like I had a bomb strapped to my chest. As time goes by you wil begin to process your thoughts and work through the disease process....it's ok to talk about it and express your thoughts and feelings....you can do this!
