Your urologist is doing absolutely the right thing....wish more of them would do this. Doing a second TURB increases the accuracy of the diagnosis significantly. There are some question arising from the previous biopsy samples and, now that he knows where the problem areas are, he is going in for a second, and better exam. From the path report, it appears that there was not enough tissue in the samples to identify the under layers
"-ADEQUACY: MUSCULARIS PROPRIA NOT IDENTIFIED" and so they need to get some samples with this included to determine if the cancer has spread into the muscle.
During the first TURB, the urologist is sort of going in "blind"....he knows where the tumor is, but not really how extensive it is. The second time he will pay special attention to the areas that are questionable. When he gets the results back, he (and you) will have a MUCH better idea of what you are facing.
Know that you hate to wait and you hate to go through this again, but it is for the best.
Wishing you luck
