Dear Ian,
I am sorry to hear that it seems you've been upgraded with CIS. You did get the Mito? And you're planning to start BCG? Just want to get that straight, and also very interested to hear when you are going to be able to switch to the specialist, any news about how that's progressing?
And please update us when the pathology results are given to you.
I can hardly believe this latest misfortune you've suffered and have never heard of someone getting the bum's rush before they were able to safely void, post TUR...I'm glad you stood your ground and demanded what was needed. Not thrilled with the attitudes shown you, it seems so heartless to discharge someone when they are in pain, but it's happened to me here in the Netherlands, too. I remember standing in the hallway crying "Help me, I'm in pain" and everyone walking around me. I signed myself out after a night. That was for a bad abscess in my jaw and not the cancer center, where they are exceptionally kind and considerate (no kidding either). But it seems to me that I'm expected to tolerate more pain than I'd like. Pain's a subjective thing, and thankfully we don't remember it afterwards.
Please let us know what it was that was causing the blockage. I'm under the impression all tissue is removed during a TUR, and that scabs can be present in the voids up to 2 wks later. But my question is, can that be a scab so soon after the resection?
So sorry you've been going through such nasty stuff and wish you immediate relief.
Hugs,
Wendy
PS I'd taken a trip to France when you posted this, so wasn't aware until today when you PMed me, thanks for keeping in touch my friend.
