Dismiss it as what? Do we have to live with anything that's not cancer and be thrilled just because it's not cancer?!? And hey, it's almost 3 months. How many folks here have had recurrences at the 3 month mark? Doesn't your doctor get paid for taking care of you? Don't be afraid to go, or call. And don't let yourself be dismissed by anyone's impression that it's not cancer. When he can give you a definitive answer and a treatment to make you feel better, then your doctor can send you home feeling that he's done what he can.

Hi all
I had a urine cytology back in august it came back clear, along with an msu and vaginal swabs (dont ask why they did those because I havent got a clue). I have also had a tiny bit in my underwear today, checked my tampon and it wasnt coming from there. I do have an appointment with GP again on Thursday but starting to feel like I am being a complete pain. My last cysto was only the end of June so GPS are quite eager to dismiss things as that was clear.

Have you checked it with cytology? Every case of visible hematuria not cured with antibiotics needs to have bladder cancer ruled out as the cause, that's the guidelines.

Dear Sally,
Visible blood in the underwear but nothing in the toilet. That could come from urethral irritation or vaginal irritation, both of which could cause urinary symtoms.
Hey, you've got real symtoms. If your doctor can't find an answer, he certainly can't ge upset by your coming for evaluation. His lack of answer doesn't mean there's nothing wrong.
I have the advantage of being able to do my own urine cultures whenever I have symptoms. Not one has been positive except right after the cancer surgery 6¾ years ago. But if I didn't know the culture was negative, I wouldn't know it's time to pursue other possibilities.

Sally,

It is never, ever, ever normal to see blood in the urine.

If you are having menstrual mid-cycle bleeding, then this is not normal either.

YOU NEED TO FIND OUT WHERE THE BLOOD IS COMING FROM!!!

In friendship,
