I think that was the prizewinner that caused me to have three rounds of chemo.

84 clean out of 85? It could have been worse. ;)

I hope it takes a few days, too.

One last thing--you might want to bring some of your mom's personal items (toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, that sort of thing) with you to the hospital. I didn't bring any of that; we just expected that it would be kind of like a hotel.

Wrong. They didn't provide anything, and much of it wasn't even for sale at the giftshop. And this was USC/Norris, not Hooterville General! Your mother probably won't be in all that long, but it would be nice to have some niceties.

Your mom is in our thoughts.

Afterthought--here is a little clip of my bill from USC. Bear in mind they took out 85 lymph nodes total. This is just for five of them.

You won't get definite results immediately unless they are grossly apparent. Mine took a few days.
