Pat,
I have taken the hydrochlorathiazide since before I had my neo.
the prevacid has been off and on as needed. I have seen no connection between taking those drugs and the bleeding. Both my current Uro and the surgeon that did my Neo have no answer to this. As a Bladder Cancer suvivor, seeing blood in my urine is a little alarming to say the least, but like I said after 4 years you would think that if it was something serious it would have show up on my tests or scans by now. I will se my GP in 3 weeks to get my annual blood work and will bring it up with him again.
My next uro appointment is in August and will include a CT Scan.
All I can do is keep persuing it and hope that an answer is evetually found. As far as the glassy eyed look you mentioned, I have to wonder if they are teaching that in medical school.

KC...just a thought..sleuth that i am. Have you always taken both drugs...and had the blood..or did the blood start when you started taking just one of the drugs?
My thought here is that the neo is made from intestine right....soo my deductive warped reasoning has me wondering if you shouldn't have a test for blood in the stool as thats really one of the side effects of either drug...and the neo being intestine...ergo...the irritation and bleeding?
Something to throw out there and have them look at you glassy eyed! :S Pat

Congrats KC. I have never experienced any blood. I know it's troublesome, but if your doctors aren't alarmed, what do you do?
Just go with the flow?

KC....interesting but both of those drugs can cause dark colored urine.....i wonder if one of them is the culprit?
