Isabel is three years old and was beaten and abused for the first four months of her life until I took her in. Her previous owner was getting ready to take her to the country and shoot her because he said she was so ugly that no one would take her off his hands. She was terrified of everything when I brought her home but she hasn't left my side since she realized that I wasn't going to beat her. She is still afraid of men. She is even, after almost three years of living here, still a little afraid of my husband. And they say dogs can't remember anything past fifteen minutes!!

Ginger, we have at least a quarter inch of ice this morning, (hubby says a half inch), so the camo won't do me much good today! I can't go out until it melts off cuz the doctors are worried about my bones thinning and I could fall. I am going to have to find a bird feeding apprentice to help me out on days like this. I get upset if they aren't fed cuz they depend on me now. I can't wait to see you pics. Here is my nurse/dog, Isabel.
