Welcome to the ABLCS (pronounced abliss) this site was developed for and by bladder cancer survivors and the people that care about them. The American Bladder Cancer Society is a 501(c)(3) corporation funded by donations with the goal of providing support to bladder cancer survivors and the people that care about them as well as raise awareness of bladder cancer in the general public.

If you are newly diagnosed you have more questions than answers and need to make decisions about your treatment path while riding an emotional rollercoaster. This site was developed to give you tools and a place to meet other survivors in order to share support.

You will once in a while meet someone who is not a doctor but plays one on the internet. This site is here to allow you to become a more informed medical consumer. What this site is not meant to do is to offer medical advice the conversations that go on here are intended to help you find the questions to ask your medical team so you can make decisions about your treatment path.
