T 3 Bladder Cancer
After 4 surgeries to remove bladder cancer and going on 24 BCG treatment in a year and a few months to a aggressive cancer that went through the lining this last time I am wondering if we need a second opinion and what good are the treatment doing if when he goes back for his three month checkup we start all over again. What other treatments or surgery is available he is 90 years old works out every day does all the yard work just quit roller skating on his 90th birthday but we still go dancing at least twice a month and is in better condition than most 60 year olds. Does anyone have ideas or opinions?

Thank you for being there for your father.
In a similar situation with an elderly family member not is as great as shape as your father, the question became ‘What were the doctors willing to do?”. Clearly, the surgeons were concerned about the ability of the patient to participate in her recovery; would surgery possibly extend life but reduce quality of life.
That was our dilemma. The doctor saw a patient he knew little about, while we knew her, but little about the challenge of recovery.
Bringing her Primary doctor into the conversation provided the information that helped all of us, together reach a decision. Perhaps this could help in your situation. It was a tough time for all.
