    Hi all,

    In December I had a radical cystectomy and now have the ileal conduit which works fine. Is it normal to have intestinal upsets now and then? I find there are days when I can’t go far from the bathroom, if you know what I mean.

    Is this all part of the healing process still or is this something that will be with me as the ‘new normal?’

    I have not had a cystectomy (fingers crossed!) However, I know a number of individuals who have and what you describe seems to be the rule. And they report that it does improve over time.

    Please discuss any concerns you have with your medical care team. Some things are routine and some are not and only your doctor can tell you for sure.
