  • Chemo after Grade 3 Cystectomy?

I am considering chemo after undergoing radical cystectomy of a stage 3 tumor and no lymph involvement. I had a continent diversion (Indiana pouch).

I am interested in hearing of others’ thought processes in deciding whether to undergo chemo in similar circumstances. There is little medical evidence that it will improve my prognosis. The oncologist estimated a 5% improvement in survival rate. I am a female in my mid-60s and in excellent health. If you decided to go through chemo, why? If not, why not?

    Thank you,
