Sean,

Congrats on the one year anniversary. Good to hear that treatment is working.

Soon, you will start to feel sorry for the hollow-cheeked people, standing outside their place of employment in the hot sun or freezing rain, trying to suck down a smoke on their all-too-short break. Then you will know that the nicotine demons have moved on. WTG! (smoking used to be such an enjoyable habit, finally no longer missed.)

Best,
Jack

I was diagnosed on August 10, 2016. I had the tumor removed on August 16, 2016. After several cystos and several rounds of BCG I am still cancer free! That's one year down and just now ahead of me! I'm also one year off the cigarettes and I am just now becoming okay with it. I feel great most every day.

I know that I am not out of the woods by a long shot. Most non-cancer people don't understand that way of thinking - that I can feel great but still have a small shadow cast over my life because I know "it" can come back any time. But I don't dwell on that sad fact, but I don't pretend it isn't there either.

Thanks for this forum and your help. I appreciate it.
