I agree with Mike that a trip to a top bladder cancer doc is the way to go. I was recently diagnosed, went to the local Uro for initial treatment, and then made an appointment at Sloan Kettering for a 2nd opinion. Once the initial shock of being diagnolsed with bladder cancer wore off I knew I was going to get a 2nd opinion and I knew I was going to leave town to do it.

Sloan agreed with the local Uro's handling of the case, but it certainly puts my mind at easy a little to know that. Maybe a specalist will agree with your treatment, but if he doesn't it's better to find out now rather than after someting serious happens and your window of opportunity for a better outcome has slammed shut.

Maybe that's why what?

If they are all low grade, and they keep coming back, and you keep getting them removed, that may be the right way to go. However, all should by biopsied and if your uro can't even find the tumors on the monitor, there may be problems with him (forgot his glasses?) that don't need to be your problems.

Gary,

Got all of your records from your current doc and all of the slides that you can get and run (don't walk) to a top bladder cancer doc (not just another uro down the street).

If you have to find your own tumors during a cysto, you clearly understand that this guy is no good.

There should be pathology on the tumors whenever they are removed.
