I just went through the same scenario over the Thanksgiving holidays, having just learned of a recurrence of some papillary tumors and having to wait for the TURBT. Good news about papillary tumors is that, like Rosemary pointed out, they are almost always "nuisance" or superficial non-invasive tumors. I know that having to look forward to a TURBT is no fun, but at least you know that the biopsy will almost certainly be good news. You are indeed fortunate to have a wife that sticks by your side in both sickness and health. Hope you are able to spend the holidays surrounded by loved ones and good friends. Best wishes.
Houston - TURBT on 11/30, starting Mitomycin C on 1/11
That dinner out was a great idea on your wife's part. To celebrate your strength!
I think I'll try that next time. Not with your wife, though. ;D I'll have to rent a "husband" from an escort service or something. LOL
Just got back from dinner out..My wife took me to a nice resturant..
She said come with me,I love you and I'll be at your side always( And it was her treat )
Gotta love that Gal..She's among the best.I'm a lucky guy.
Sometimes you have to stop and count your blessings.
Also my "Big" sister( She's 72)called me to see how I made out. She's praying for me.
It's just great when your cared about...It has lifted my spirits.
So, thanks one and all for your replies...Hearing from you gives me a good feeling.
Oh no, Max! I'm so sorry to read about those bladder tumors found in you today. :(That sucks! I hope they are low grade and that you have an uncomplicated recovery from the TURBT on the 8th. That's the best that can be hoped for now. I guess the bleeding you had WAS a sign of something wrong. I am thinking of you, know how you must be feeling, and know there isn't much I could say to make you feel better.
