Dear Forum,
It may seem like I have been a stranger to the forum for a while but I do check in from time to time to get updates and follow your journeys.
My life has been pretty hectic lately as I settle into my new job. I am working on a truly wonderful project assisting intellectually challenged young adults run a new restaurant.
Recently I had my quarterly check-up and CT Scan with all clear results which of course is fabulous. My Oncologist has also graduated me to 6monthly checks which is great too!!
Apparently the first 12 months is the highest risk of the cancer returning if it was not all taken away during surgery or zapped by the chemo. Of course no guarantees have been given and they will monitor me with CT Scans for up to five years.
It is now 15months since RC surgery and my new bladder is working really well with only the odd bladder infection to deal with. I am 100% continent during the day and only have to contend with the odd dribble at night. This of course is no real hardship and I am truly grateful for everything and happy to be alive and well.
