Update on my dad

So sorry to hear of your dad's decline. As others have said have you had a medication review? you never know by altering meds it may just improve his mental state. Prayers and best wishes for your dad and family.

So sorry Robin. What kind of drugs is he on in the hospital...if he's on pain killers that could certainly explain his disorientation. They tend to dismiss this with the older patient and chalk it up to age...I'm sure he needs a pain killer but maybe a reduction or a different one.
They actually did it with my husband when he was 45 and reacted to Percodan..totally out of it and thinking he was in some sort of medical Nazi concentration camp. He didn't even know who i was. I straightened that out quickly with the doctor as the nurses just could have cared less and were not paying attention ..they were busy!!

Robin, I am so sorry for you and your family. As a daughter who is fighting this battle along with her Dad and has been in the ER with him twice in two weeks, my heart breaks for you. I pray for strength for you and peace for your Dad.
