ok this may seem pretty personal...but not going to the bathroom..meaning urine output or the other? If its the other you might be looking at an ileus and nausea is one of the first symptoms, with pain in the abdomen. If its urine output that needs also to be seen immediately ..any flank pain?...Hope your uro responds quickly ..otherwise i would call the attending on call.

Thanks Pat, he did get it in the hospital. He has been on Flagyl and Vancomycin. His symptoms are different this time. His blood pressure is a little high instead of low and he isn't going to the bathroom all the time like he was. He just seems ill. Like I said his biggest complaint is nausea. No fever but his face is flushed. I called the Dr. I'm waiting to hear from him.

nm.....i would think he probably picked up the c-diff in the hospital. Have you consulted a infectious disease specialist? I would. Has he been given Flagyl or Vancomycin?
Will he eat yogart...somehow you have to get the good bacteria back in there.
i would also alert his cardiologist as to the problem since he's already had 2 MI's.
This is one tough surgery and he sure doesn't need these complications.

My father-in-law had his bladder removed 1 month ago. Since, he has been hospitalized twice with c diff. He has been home for 2 days and is feeling very sick to his stomach suddenly. The diarrhea has not returned and he does not seem dehydrated . His blood pressure is a little high for him 140/80. He doesn't want to go back to the hospital. He has had 2 previous MI's in the past. What could this be?? Should I take him in??
