Leigh,
I would start a new topic, something like 'dealing with fear , regaining sexual function" This way more will read it as mine was posted a while back. I think you will find most men are open and discuss it readily. All the wives I have spoke to whose husbands have had r/c's are dealing with the issue as well. It is a serious issue, and shouldn't be left behind, its highly emotional for all. There are those who leave sex behnd as its not important, but then the the rest who want to experience it again. There is no shame in any of it. So here on the forum words like, erection, ejaculation, climax or whatever are all part of the progress one only knows from those who have been there as well. This is another topic your surgeon touches on but leaves you with little knowledge on how to go about it. For young men like yourself it needs to be addressed. So fire away,,and I hope the guys help you out as well!!! Ginger

I don't think they are just your hangups and no one should be offended here by them at all. if they are then they probably came here by accident! I think the spirit of this forum should be frank and free discussion of ALL aspects of this illness and its great to have so many people embracing that aim. Im fortunate to have a very open minded and non-squeamish partner. she does health care support work and has to deal with far worse things than a bit of phlegmy pee. i find women tend to be less squeamish than men in the main anyway. Ive PMd you on he above leigh.

all the best

yes and the other issue with those meds is hearing loss apparently. i've had no problems with them. any med you take, including the injection, should only be used after a careful consultation with your doc and consdieration of any other meds you take. The best advice is not to give up on this one but don't expect instant results wither. as mentioned elsewhere nerve damage can take 2 years and more to heal.

Thanks, This info gives me alot of hope for Gene, he doesn't say much but I know it bothers him, so it sounds like trying things will maybe move things along. Your so right about each individual being in their own as far as how to approach things and where there at in their minds. Is it important, or not so much???? The wife just doesn't know where to start or not to start, its a slippery slope for the emotions. and now after b/c its even more questionable..Okay Pat, no Viagra,
It helps to know others responses, I am sure they will all be as different as we all are as people, non the less, helpful......Ginger
